IDA Speaks: With Strider COO, Natasha Sprengers-Levine

 You know what they say: “Necessity is the mother of invention.”

On this week’s episode of IDA Speaks, join host Kim Beaudoin as she talks TECH with Strider COO, Natasha Sprengers-Levine.

Prior to joining STRIDER in 2017, Natasha served as Assistant Trainer at the dressage training facility Sprieser Sporthorse, where she successfully developed and launched new services to multiple satellite locations.  Her leadership in the equestrian industry includes multiple awards as well as serving as the captain of the Intercollegiate Dressage Association (IDA) team at the University of Vermont.

 Natasha earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Political Science and Philosophy from University of Vermont in 2014. In addition to her professional achievements, Natasha is also an accomplished author who regularly contributes to industry publications that include Dressage Today, USEventing, and Eventing Nation.

 Ashley has rapidly become one of the most sought-after photographers on the worldwide equestrian circuit, known for her uncanny ability to capture exquisite moments both in the arena and behind the scenes. Her images have been commissioned by top brands and are published frequently in luxury lifestyle magazines worldwide.

Her fine art style of portraiture and candid sports imagery continues to drive a modern approach to the visual experience of the equestrian market.

IDA Speaks with Chris Strucker

This week on IDA Speaks, host Kim Beaudoin sat down with friend and former collegiate team member, Chris Strucker. 


Chris graduated in 2014 from Cazenovia College, and went on to work for many prominent equestrian professionals. In 2015 he accepted a full time managerial job with the Langmeier Family at Kelianda Farm, and was on staff for numerous top 4 placings for junior riders in multiple equitation finals, and had a hand in the success of other junior and amateur clients  across many divisions. In 2018 he found himself working for Val Renihan at Findlay’s Ridge, and has been with Val since then, assisting in yet another USET finals victory, medal finals top 10 placings, Maclay regional victories and numerous top 10 placings, junior hunter finals champions, and a multitude of other incredible achievements.

IDA Speaks with Juan Matute Gimon

Juan is an international rising star, quickly climbing to the top of the FEI Dressage World Rankings. Coached by his father and three-time dressage Olympian Juan Matute Sr., Juan Jr. has succeeded in Young Rider through Grand Prix competitions worldwide. Some of his achievements include: Individual Gold medal, Nations Cup 2016 (Wellington, Florida). Individual Bronze medal U25 European Championships 2016 & 2017 (Hagen, Germany). U25 Spanish National Champion 2017 (Segovia, Spain). Individual Bronze medal U25 European Championships 2017 (Lamprechtschausen, Austria). IDA Speaks with Equestrian Businesswoman Jennifer Wood

Originally from Chicago, Jennifer Wood is a lifelong horseperson who began competing in the hunter and jumper discipline at the age of seven. She went on to represent the intercollegiate team at the University of South Carolina. Jennifer graduated from USC magna cum laude with a marketing degree in 2001. Jennifer worked for Olympic show jumpers Anne Kursinski and Margie Engle before entering the public relations field in 2004.

Through her work as a freelance writer and photographer and for PhelpsSports.com, she has covered many international equestrian events including FEI World Cup Finals, FEI World Equestrian Games, and the Olympic Games. Jennifer is a member of the International Alliance of Equestrian Journalists and, in 2006, won the United States Equestrian Federation Pegasus Award for Media, Best Single News Article.

Known for her work promoting some of the best equestrian events and companies in North America through her companies, Jennifer Wood Media Inc. and Jump Media, Jennifer works to advance equestrian sport promotion. She is also the founder of Equestrian Businesswomen, which aims to connect businesswomen in the equine industry to provide them with resources and community to foster their professional development and business opportunities.

Dylan is currently an employee of Purina Animal Nutrition, focusing on Equine Nutrition and feed consulting. He has been with the company for 3 years. His role involves evaluating nutritional programs for commercial horse farms, managing a list of independent distributors, and helping customers provide the proper nutrition for their equine athletes.

Before joining Purina Dylan received his MBA from Lemoyne College Madden School of Business 17’ and his bachelor degree in Equine Business Management from Cazenovia College 16’.

During his time at Cazenovia Dylan was an active member of the IHSA team. He competed at nationals 3 consecutive years in both Open Reining and Open Horsemanship. He also competed at the National Reining Horse Association Derby Collegiate Competition in Oklahoma City, Okla and became the first Wildcat in program history to take part in the prestigious Lucas Oil AQHA World Show in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

IDA Speaks With Brentina Cup Champion and Young Rider, Anna Buffini

Anna Buffini is an accomplished young rider with a passion for working with dressage youth. She and her horse, Sundayboy, won the 2014 Young Rider National Championship, 2014 NAYC Team Championship, 2016 U25 Grand Prix National Championship, 2017 U25 Nations Cup Team and Individual Freestyle Champion, and she was the recipient of the Andrew B. De Szinay Sportsmanship Award.

Buffini is on the board of directors for The Dressage Foundation, and trains with Guenter Seidel in Encinitas, California.

IDA Speaks with US Equestrian Director of Communications & Public Relations, Carly Weilminster

Join us for a 40 minute Q&A session with US Equestrian Director of Communications & Public Relations, Carly Weilminster.

Weilminster has had an extensive career in equestrian sport: Before joining US Equestrian, she oversaw management and development of communication and marketing initiatives for events hosted at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, Winter Equestrian Festival, Adequan® Global Dressage Festival, Tryon International Equestrian Center, International Polo Club Palm Beach, Colorado Horse Park, and the Central Park Horse Show. She served as the National Press Officer for the FEI World Equestrian Games™ Tryon 2018 and supervised marketing and digital media, media relations, and media operation efforts for the event on behalf of the Organizing Committee. She also traveled with US Equestrian to Lima, Peru, as acting Press Officer for the Lima 2019 Pan American Games.

IDA Speaks with USDF Education Coordinator Alex Belton

Join us for this 40 minute Q&A session with USDF Education Coordinator and IDA Alumnus, Alex Belton.

Belton attended Cazenovia College and was a member of the Intercollegiate Dressage team during all four years at Cazenovia. After graduation in 2017, she worked as a Horse Show Secretary for HITS, Inc., based in Saugerties, NY, and travelled to HITS locations in Thermal, CA, Culpeper, VA, and Ocala, FL. In October 2018, Belton joined the United States Dressage Federation in Lexington, KY. In the Education Department at USDF, she works closely with the Instructor/Trainer Program, the USDF Breeders Championship Series, Safe Sport Initiatives, and the Adequan®/USDF FEI-Level Trainers Conference. In her spare time, Alex competes her APHA gelding, Daffys Son Shine. Together they earned their final scores for the USDF Bronze medal in 2019 and plan to compete at Fourth Level in 2020.
